(More customer reviews)This is a basic, not too fancy instrument. Item description might not be very clear: note that the jar is plastic. A nice feature is that the plastic lid has a removable/lockable measuring cup (1-4 oz). So far the blender works fine :) -->
UPDATE (2008) --> or, it worked fine for almost a year from purchase. Then, it just died. When I contacted the manufacturer, they took two weeks to get back to me, and replied that *by that time* the warranty on the blender has expired, and they would only repair the motor for $11+shipping. Might be cheaper to get a new one, hopefully a longer-lasting one too. I would have taken the rating down to 3 stars, but the review system doesn't let me.
