(More customer reviews)I purchased this combination appliance, thinking that it would be a decent product because it wasn't the cheapest thing out there and I didn't find many bad reviews of it. At first it worked well, especially the food processor part, but after just a few months the food processor blade couldn't cut through most foods anymore unless I chopped them up into increasingly small pieces. Eventually it would not chop through any food at all, and there was a burning plastic smell when I tried. I took off the processor container, and the part where the blade goes was partially melted.

I did not use this processor especially hard - no more than an average of once a week and never for things like ice, mostly for vegetables. Next time I will make sure I can find good reviews of a product before I buy!!
