(More customer reviews)After owning my Vita-Mix for 10 years, I noticed a crack starting in the bottom of the container.It still works fine and doesn't leak, but I used my discovery as an excuse to purchase this container with the new lid style and soft grip handle.This lid is super and much easier to work with than the old style.The plug is easy to remove and just as easily locks back into place. The attachment tabs on the side of the lid make securing it to the container quick and efficient.Removing it after processing is also easier than with the old style and can be done with one hand.

The cushioned grip handle is a lovely treat especially if the container is rather full and heavy.I feel very pampered using it.

I love my Vita-Mix and after 10 years it still works perfectly.I've never had to change the blade or have it serviced in any way.It's just a wonderful machine.The old container would have probably continued working fine for a long time, but I wanted to enjoy the new features and I must admit, they are awfully nice.I'll keep the old one on hand for when I need to make two pitchers of drinks for guests.The adults want frozen cocktails and the kids want smoothies.Now I can do both and serve them at the same time.It's almost like having two machines.This container is a great upgrade.
